Markéta Odvárková

Marketa was born in 1978 in Prague. She is an architect but she loves to dance and travel (if possible a combination of both). She challenges exotic kinds of dances and cultures, especially from the Middle and Far East.
Dancing is giving her energy and inspiration for her life and work. Getting to know different ways of life, different people and foreign cultures is an unreplaceable experience for her. She believes dancing is an extraordinary opportunity of a communication with people when you don´t speak their language.
In every country you can be asking yourself: What sort of dances do they dance here? What kind of music? Who? For which occasion? Can I learn the dance? And when she comes back she likes to share the experience with the public as a greeting from a far away country.
