About us
Polynesie - Association supporting Polynesian culture in the Czech Republic
Polynesie is a non-profit association focused on Polynesia, especially French Polynesia (Tahiti) and Hawaiian Islands. We aim to assemble all fans of Polynesian culture, dances and music… We are a very first association with Polynesia orientated activities in the Czech Republic. As of September 2009 -there will be dancing lessons of Polynesian dances - for the first time in Prague! We want to become a first contact point for information about Polynesia, we are interested in writing about the countries, Polynesian culture and dances, and we want to promote and support Czech artists focused on Polynesia. Moreover, we intend to link our activities with similar associations abroad, especially in France but overseas as well, like in Tahiti and Hawaii as such. In the future we plan to organize different dancing classes, internships, performance and presentations run by dancers and friends from associations abroad, who will come to visit us in the Czech Republic. We are looking forward for further intercultural exchange. These web sites have been established as a source of inspiration (and inspiration) for all Czech lovers of Polynesia.
You can also become a member of our Association if you are min. 18 years old interested in Polynesia and agree with the Statutes of the Association (to be consulted with us).
